As the owner of the Kehr Business Law PC, I provide business, corporate general counsel, technology, Internet, e-commerce and tax law, as well as trust, will, estate and succession planning legal services. I founded, managed and have run my own law firm for over 15 years. My experience as a business owner makes me uniquely suited to approach legal representation from the business owner’s perspective. I founded my own law firm in 2004 and it was the 8th business I’ve started from the ground up.
As a business attorney I provide cyberlaw, internet law, outsourced corporate general counsel law, technology law, as well as wills, trusts and estate planning legal services. I represent entrepreneurs, privately owned businesses and individuals.

I enjoy working on merger and acquisitions; corporate restructuring; shareholder and buy-sell agreements;real estate and business investment transactions, contracts and negotiations; distribution agreements; stock-option agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements; trademark and copyright matters; as well as complex intellectual property agreements.
Community Involvement
I am a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the California State Bar Association’s Business and Corporate Law Section as well as the Business and Corporate Law, Community Services, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, Real Property Law and Law Practice Management and Marketing Sections of the Bar Association. I am a dad, an Attorney, a Wealth Counsel estate & business planning member, a formerly licensed California Real Estate Broker for 10+ years, a published author, and an entrepreneur myself – starting my first business at the age of eight. I was a columnist for the San Diego Lawyer Magazine’s Technology column and has authored articles including “Stepping up to Tech,” “Small Firms, Big Impact” and “In Defense of Technology.” In 2011, I was a finalist in San Diego Daily Transcript’s Young Attorney awards for best young attorneys.
Education
I grew up in Huntington Beach, California before attending and receiving my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As a NCAA intercollegiate base ball athlete, I was honored with 11 awards for academic achievement as a student athlete. The day after graduating UCLA, I moved down to San Diego and started law School at California Western School of Law, where I earned my Juries Doctor degree. After completing law school in 2 years (rather than the normal 3-year time frame), I began studying for my master’s degree in Tax Law (LLM) at the University of San Diego School of Law. Upon passing the California Bar Exam halfway through my LLM degree, I founded my own law firm the day after being sworn in 2004.
Personal
I started my first business at the age of eight, “Dan’s Bird Farm” where I bred and supplied exotic birds to the four local pet stores in Huntington Beach. After living in San Diego for almost 20 years, I now reside in Huntington Beach , California with my son and my miniature Australian Sheppard, Gizmo. I enjoy spending time with my son and family, as well as anything tech or cutting edge, snorkeling, golfing, snowboarding, starting businesses, giving back to the community, feeding the homeless, traveling, watching sports, Formula 1 and eating sushi.
